We don’t know if Leah knows anything about us yet. Usually, as soon as we get PA, we send a photo album with a letter as quickly as possible. For Leah, with her 14th birthday looming quickly ahead of us, we didn’t feel comfortable sending anything until we knew the paperwork could be done in time. But with our LID date confirmed, we are excited for her to know she has a home. Right now we will get the album and letter sent--just a quick introduction before the good things start rolling in.
We can’t wait to get some care packages sent. We have some things picked out at a couple of the adoption sites and will likely send some things on our own. Since Leah is older and will have the right to refuse to come home with us, we think it’s a good idea to start the bribing early. Soften the battlefield, so to speak. We’ll post pics of what we send once we get them together.
Just a quick note to China: My birthday is coming up on Monday…An LOA would be a GREAT present!
